Having a problem with one of our sites displaying &yourdomain.com& on the main page of cpanel and it also displays &yourdomain.com& for all the email addresses created instead of their real domain name. Where does cpanel read this in from? Thanks.

main account = yourdomain.com

I'm wondering what the correct way to change my main cpanel account is. Currently the account claims that I own "yourdomain.com" but it is not set up correctly for e-mail (since "yourdomain.com" does not exist).

I would like my main account to be myvaliddomain.com instead of the invalid "yourdomain.com"

Will I need to create a separate user for the domain?

Check the permission of the folder /var/cpanel

chmod 755 /var/cpanel

This will fix the issue in most cases.
