Hi,

I have recently had to format one of my cPanel servers, I am currently trying to reinstall cPanel on the server...

I am currently experiencing the following, rather frustrating error as I see no problem in the config it says is erroneus.

[[email protected] home]# cd /home;mkdir cpins;cd cpins;wget layer1.cpanel.net/latest;sh latest
--06:50:20-- http://layer1.cpanel.net/latest
=> `latest'

You must update your /etc/yum.conf with a fedora mirror
You can find a list of mirrors here: http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors.html

My yum.conf reads as follows....

[[email protected] cpins]# cat /etc/yum.conf
[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=fedora-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1
retries=20

[base]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Base
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/$releasever/$basearch/os/

[updates-released]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Released Updates
baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/$releasever/$basearch/

#[updates-testing]
#name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - Unreleased Updates
#baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/testing/$releasever/$basearch/

Has anyone had this problem before and does anyone know of way of getting past it?

Regards,
Monil.

Go on, have a guess
And if you do decide to email the person, please come back and post the resolution on the forum, otherwise it just ruins the whole point of posting problems and their resolution for others, and the whole ethos of support forums :rolleyes:

Anyway, changing to a different mirror should help, the default ones do have their problems.
