    Hello,

I've just tried installing cPanel on my VPS, during the installation it fails and returns this error:

yum works fine when named is running, but cPanel appears to shut it down prior to installing, is there any work around for this?

    Hello,

There might be some problems with the DNS of your Server. Try to ping the domains and let us know if you get response or not.

    Hello,

Yes, it looks like you have some name resolution issues on the server. Just run the following commands on your server and it will resolve the name resolution issues ( it will set up the name servers for your server ).

    #echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" >> /etc/resolv.conf
    #echo "nameserver 8.8.4.4" >> /etc/resolv.conf

    Thank you,
    Nibin.
