I'm not entirely sure which section this should be posted in, security seemed like a good place to start.
I've just had this message from my data centre.
I thought I ought to share.





Red Hat last night released an announcement about an issue relating to when physical devices running specific OS versions are rebooted following YUM updates being applied.

We have identified you have a device(s) that would be at risk if these updates are installed.

UKFast have run our own tests and have been able to recreate this issue, therefore, we are strongly advising all customers to temporarily suspend any planned updates until further advice has been released by Red Hat.

The impact seems to be limited to UEFI bios setups. Secureboot on/off seems to be irrelevant.

Fixed versions of mokutil and shim seems to be ready.

Centos 7 forum: kernel 3.10.0-1127.18.2 / grub 2-2.02-0.86 break UEFI boot
