Zend Optimizer 2.1.0 on CPanel 5.3.0 R117 and newer

Hi,

I have read a thread over on the PHP Manager and it say that CPanel 5.3.0 R117 and above doesn't support Zend Optimizer 2.1.0 is this true ?

Zend Optimizer 2.1.0 isn't included in Cpanel. But, it's easy to download and install. I just overwrote the old one I had installed from the files in the /scripts directory.

From where to download it and is it free ?

Is there any manual how to install it ?
Do I have to reboot server after ?

You can donwload it from zend.com, yes is it free and no there no manual.

I cant speak for cpanel, i am reletively new to it, but zend is just an extension to php, and wont affect php, but only enhance it, and it has nothing to do with cpanel really. I think you have to recompile it into php, so maybe you will have to download the php source as well.

and as for a manual, everything you need is in the INSTALL file.

Hi,

When I installed Zend Optimizer 2.0.3 it complied itself into php all I had to run was a install script and answer a few question and it was done.

So I download file and store it in /scripts/ path right ? It is compresed - how to unzip this file?

and then I run installzendot file or I just run this file I downloaded ?

What about PHP . How to install new version of PHP and does this include Zend optimazer automatically


Can all this be done from WHM Software section and what i must run in this section

I have sendt them support tickets too, but they don't seem to wanna answer this.....

Seems like there is a problem between Cpanel and Zend...
The worst thing is that my host won't install Zend Optimizer 2.1.0 before Cpanel integrates it in their script....

Have got it confirmed from Cpanel support now! Cpanel does support Zend Optimizer 2.1.0 YoHooo!!!!
