    Hi,
    Our servers seem to all be having a common issue when setting up new accounts.

    When you look at a normal zone that is made correctly, it should say on the top area;

    SOA ns.nameserver.com. admin.servercontactemaildomain.com.

    should be;
    SOA ns.nameserver.com. root.nameserver.com.

    How can we stop the WHM's from setting up these new zones wrong ? It is causing dns problems.

    Thank you,

    Tim L

    Yes.. that is the exact problem.. it is not putting root.ns.server.com ... instead, it is putting what ever is listed as an email addy in the servers edit set up page.

    Any word on this from the top ?

    I believe this was changed a while ago.. It used to put root.ns.server.com then it was replaced by the Server contact email because root.ns.server.com was never a valid email address to start with.
